HISTORY and MISSION. The Centre for Serbian as a Foreign and a Non-Mother Tongue was founded in 2013, by the initiative of the Department of Serbian Language (now the Department of Serbian Studies). The need to establish such an organizational unit arose from the fact that a large number of foreign citizens gravitate towards Niš as a university and cultural centre, mostly coming from the Republic of Greece, the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of North Macedonia. Furthermore, there are numerous interested individuals who, due to various life needs and circumstances, want to learn Serbian language and obtain an adequate certificate of the acquired language skills. As a matter of fact, the Department of Serbian Studies has been offering Serbian language assessments for foreign citizens practically since its establishment, by appointing its teachers and associates to offical commissions. With the establishment of the Centre, the Faculty of Philosophy in Niš, as well as the city of Niš itself, became exceptionally important, since, until then, such a centre practically did not exist south of Belgrade.

CENTRE'S DIRECTORS and SECRETARIES. As of February 12, 2013, prof. Irena Cvetković Teofilović was appointed first as the director of the Centre, and Jelena Stošić as its secretary. From February 2017 to September 2019, prof. Maja Vukić was the Centre's director, with Ivana Mitić as its secretary. Since October 2019, the director of the Centre was professor Nadežda Jović, while the secretary was prof. Aleksandra Janić. Since October 2022, the director of the Centre is prof. Branimir Stanković, and the secretary is prof. Nina Sudimac.

HISTOIRE et MISSION. Le Centre pour le serbe comme langue étrangère et non maternelle a été fondé à l’initiative du Département de langue serbe, au début de l’année de 2013. Ce besoin de créer un centre qui permettrait l'apprentissage du serbe vient du fait que Niš, en tant que centre universitaire et culturel attire de plus en plus de citoyens étrangers venant notamment de pays tels que la Grèce, la Bulgarie et la Macédoine du Nord. A part cela, il y a beaucoup d'étrangers qui veulent apprendre la langue serbe dû à différents besoins ainsi qu’obtenir un certificat certifiant le niveau acquis. De plus, depuis sa constitution, le Département pour la langue serbe fait le contrôle de connaissance de la langue serbe chez les étrangers en nommant une commission spécifique dont font partie ses professeurs et ses assistants. Par la constitution du Centre, la Faculté de Philosophie et la ville de Niš deviennent plus importantes car un tel centre n’existait pas au Sud de la Serbie.

DIRECTEURS et SECRÉTAIRES DU CENTRE. Le 12/02/2013, Mme Irena Cvetković Teofilović, Maître de conférences, devient la directrice du Centre, et Jelena Stošić devient la secrétaire. De Février 2017 à Septembre 2019 Mme MajaVukić, Maître de conférences, était sa directrice, et sa secrétaire était Mme Ivana Mitić. A partir d’Octobre 2019 la directrice du Centre était Mme Nadežda Jović, Professeur des universités, et la secrétaire était Mme Aleksandra Janic, Maître de conférences. Depuis octobre 2022, le directeur du Centre est le professeur Branimir Stanković, et le secrétaire est le prof. Nina Sudimac.

Le Centre pour serbe langue étrangère et non maternelle se trouve au bureau 401 à la Faculté de Philosophie de Niš.

ИСТОРИЈАТ и МИСИЈА. Центар за српски језик као страни и нематерњи основан је 2013. године на иницијативу Департмана за српски језик (сада Департмана за србистику). Потреба за оснивањем овакве јединице проистекла је из чињенице да ка Нишу као универзитетском и културном центру гравитира велики број страних држављања, пре свега, из Републике Грчке, Републике Бугарске и Републике С. Македоније. Поред тога, постоје и заинтересовани појединци који из различитих животних потреба и околности желе да науче српски језик и добију адекватан сертификат о стеченом знању. Уосталом, проверу знања српског језика код страних држављана Департман за србистику обавља практично од свог оснивања, именујући одговарајућe комисијe из редова својих наставника и сарадника. Формирањем Центра, Филозофски факулет у Нишу, као и град Ниш, добили су на изузетној важности, будући да овакав Центар дотад практично није постојао јужније од Београда.

УПРАВНИЦИ и СЕКРЕТАРИ ЦЕНТРА. Од 12. 2. 2013. године за управника Центра именована је доц. др Ирена Цветковић Теофиловић, а за секретара Јелена Стошић. Од фебруара 2017. године до септембра 2019. године управник Центра била је доц. др Маја Вукић, а секретар Ивана Митић. Од октобра 2019. године управник Центра била је проф. др Надежда Јовић, а секретар доц. др Александра Јанић. Од октобра 2022. године управник Центра је проф. др Бранимир Станковић, док функцију секретара обавља доц. др Нина Судимац.
